| Victorian Holiday Bed Race
The bed race is a new event on Sunday, December 7 at 11:30 am. Businesses, organizations, families and friends are invited to form five person teams (four pushers and one rider) to enter the Bed Race. The teams provide their own beds to race and are encouraged to wear nightshirts and caps or pajamas. The race will held over a straight course on a single elimination basis for a trophy and bragging rights. Onlookers will also vote for the best dressed team with gift certificates going to the winners. Anyone is welcome to enter and we especially welcome entries from outside Stoughton. A Dickens of a Run/Walk
Enjoy a jolly jog or jaunt through the streets of historic Stoughton. Bring your family and your pet for a 5K run/walk or a 2K fun run/walk, starting at 10 a.m. at the Evergreen State Bank on Main Street. Race-day registration and warming area starts at 9am, Dec.
7, inside the Yahara River Grocery Co-op store, 229 E. Main St. Join the Victorian festivities and dress up in a holiday gear! Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in the 5K run and for Best Dressed.

The Dickens of a Run & Walk is a cool way for the entire family to have fun and raise money for a good cause. Download a pledge form and if you collect $50 in pledges, your entry fee will be waived.
Raise more than $200 in pledges and you'll be qualified to win a prize. The top three pledge-getters will win one of these gift packages valued at $150 to $200 each: Night on the town, Golf outing and Stoughton shopping spree.

The Stoughton Norwegian Dancers is a group made up of Stoughton High School students who perform various, authentic Scandinavian dances.The group began in 1953, performing for their home community at Syttende Mai (Norwegian Independence Day). Today, they share their talents all across the United States, entertaining young and old and leaving all with a warm appreciation for their Norwegian heritage. |
