| Victorian Holiday Bed Race
The bed race is on Sunday, December 4th at 11:30 am. Businesses, organizations, families and friends are invited to form five person teams (four pushers and one rider) to enter the Bed Race. The teams provide their own beds to race and are encouraged to wear nightshirts and caps or pajamas. The race will held over a straight course on a single elimination basis for a trophy and bragging rights. Onlookers will also vote for the best dressed team with gift certificates going to the winners. Anyone is welcome to enter and we especially welcome entries from outside Stoughton. A Dickens of a Run/Walk
Enjoy a jolly jog or jaunt through the streets of historic Stoughton. Bring your family/pet for a 5K or 2K run/walk. Help raise funds for great Stoughton organizations! Pledges raised will be shared between Stoughton food pantries, the Victorian Holiday Weekend Fund and the Yahara River Grocery Co-op.
Date: Sunday, December 4 at 10 a.m.
Location: Start/finish line on Main Street, across from Yahara River Grocery Co-op (in the McFarland State Bank parking lot).
Entry fees: $15 by Nov. 23 and $18 after Nov. 23.

Race-day: inside the Co-op from 9 to 9:45 a.m
Join the Victorian festivities and dress up in holiday gear! Prizes will be awarded for the top finishers in the 5K run and for Best Dressed. Souvenir winter hats are guaranteed to first 75 entrants, and post-race refreshments will be available inside the Co-op.

The Stoughton Norwegian Dancers is a group made up of Stoughton High School students who perform various, authentic Scandinavian dances.The group began in 1953, performing for their home community at Syttende Mai (Norwegian Independence Day). Today, they share their talents all across the United States, entertaining young and old and leaving all with a warm appreciation for their Norwegian heritage. |
